Prof. Ruediger HAUCK

BIOGRAPHY
Rüdiger Hauck, DVM, PhD, DECPVS, is Associate Professor (Pathobiology & Poultry Science) at Auburn University, where he joined in 2017. He earned his veterinary degree (DVM) in 2002, PhD in 2006, and completed a Habilitation in Poultry Diseases in 2012, all at Freie Universität Berlin. He held postdoctoral positions at University of Georgia, Freie Universität Berlin, the German Federal Office for Consumer Protection and Food Safety, and UC Davis. His research expertise encompasses infectious and enteric diseases of poultry, including coccidia, Reovirus, and Histomonas meleagridis. He is a Diplomate of the European College of Poultry Veterinary Science and active in professional societies including AAAP and AAAP’s Enteric Diseases Committee. He has authored peer-reviewed articles and contributed chapters to the MSD Veterinary Manual on poultry infectious diseases.
